It takes approximately 100 hours to build a full wig from scratch and the average estimate for labour is $5000. This does not include the cost of hair or the wig foundation.
Not all clients require a full wig to meet their needs, smaller hair pieces take less time to make and therefore are at a lower cost.

A bit about me…
I am a Hairstylist, Make Up Artist, and Wig Maker with 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles within the hair and make up industries. From 7 years working in hair salons, to working as a freelance film and editorial hair and make-up artist, and now as Head of Wigs and Make Up at Bard on the Beach Theatre Society.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, my career brought me to Canada in 2014. Since then I have worked primarily in the film and television industry, building wigs and facial hair pieces for Hollywood blockbusters, local television productions, and everything in between.
I now split my time between working on theatre productions, servicing hair extension clients, and creating hand-crafted wigs and hair pieces using only the finest ethically sourced materials and my years of industry expertise.
Each wig is custom built to suit the needs of the individual client, whether for film or someone looking for hair replacement solutions. I keep my values at the core of my business, participating in industry recycling initiatives to redirect waste from landfills, using products with a low environmental impact, and purchasing hair from ethical sources.
